The Firefighter Challenge is a regulated obstacle course to be completed fully equipped (firefighting gear, helmet, boots, gloves, and self-contained breathing apparatus) as quickly as possible. The course is designed to replicate the physical demands and stages faced by a firefighter during real interventions.
Part 1: Participants carry a coiled hose to the top of a tower. At the top, a second coiled hose is manually hoisted and positioned alongside the first. This section concludes with a descent down all the tower’s floors via the stairs.
Part 2: Firefighters move a 75 kg weight using a sledgehammer over a distance of 1.5 m. They then navigate a slalom course before striking a target with a 45 mm diameter water hose set up over 24 m. The course ends with moving an 80 kg dummy victim to the finish line.
The meeting will be held the day before the competition. Attendance is mandatory.
